This is the montage we put on the back of our annual Christmas newsletter extravaganza, the one everyone looks forward to every year because it burns such pretty colors. You can click on the picture to see it larger.
And solely as an act of love for Kiddo#2, who begged me to take them to go talk to Santa instead of emailing Santa like they did in the olden days, I drove them to the TenMilesAway Mall where we could go visit him and have our pictures taken.
Last year, we waited in line an hour.
This year, we arrived to find one kid on Santa’s lap, and one family in line ahead of us. We even let the family behind us skip ahead because I was trying to convince Kiddo#4 that Santa was the kind of person he might want to get to know. As in, without Mommy in the picture.
The photographer was good. They were all looking at the camera at the same time only once, for about 4/10ths of a second. And she got the shot!
I think that picture caught them really well, actually. Kiddo#4 looks worried (and refuses to wear his hat). Kiddo#3 looks mischievous. Kiddo#2 is looking cute, and Kiddo#1 is along for the ride.
Merry Christmas, folks! (And please, admire Kiddo#2’s crazy socks. She’ll love you for it.)
TenMilesAway Mall – LOL! Great photos. And I was just staring at those socks when I scrolled down and saw your last comment about them!
Those socks are rather frightening, aren’t they?Particularly in combination with those sneakers.
Dollar store. I bought three pairs of crazy socks. She wore them until her toes started popping out the ends. 🙂
Kawaii!!!!!!!!!!
So cute!!!!!!!!!
Those socks are awesome! Kiddo#2 has excellent taste in socks 😀
(This is coming from a woman with a sock drawer full of colorful socks, so I might be slightly biased).
All the pictures are cute. You have such an adorable family.
wonderful pictures! you have such a beautiful family! and the socks – i love the socks!! i was always a barefoot kind of gal until i went back to work on the graveyard shift a while back and my feet would get soooo cold. i invested in lots of socks – all of them soft and in the craziest colors i could find (because i’m an adult and i refuse to act like one). so here’s to awesome socks!! 🙂
Ivy should knit K2 a crazy pair of colored socks. 🙂
Or, since I’m her mother, maybe I should?
I did pass down a pair of Ivy-knit-socks to K2 after they shrank too much to fit me anymore. She loved those. (They have since been passed down to another little girl, as they shrank a bit more.) And K2 has my first pair of knitted socks too.
yes and yes lol
