I’ve mentioned before that sometimes I leap to conclusions that, while fully supported by the facts, are also dead wrong. It’s one of those NF character traits.
The other day I did it again. No harm done, but I did think angelward, “If you had a quarter for every time I leaped to the wrong conclusion, you could buy yourself a really nice computer. And some pretty awesome software.”
And what would an angel do with a computer? (I mean, other than join a support group for guardian angels.) Let’s take this one out into the realm of fantasy-fun.Well, fun at my expense, which is pretty much why I keep a blog in the first place.
Me: You could buy yourself a really nice computer. And some pretty awesome software.
Angel: Sin-Minder(tm)
Me: What?
Angel: It’s a database program for entering all your sins as you commit them.
Me: …?….
Angel: And then I can have it sort them, graph them, analyze the data for trends–
Me: …!!!….
Angel: I can check off the sins as you confess them, and it also keeps track of the temporal justice you’ll need to repay as a result of your sins.
Me: {huddles around self on seat}
Angel: I decided to get SinMinder Pro rather than the regular version because you can change the tags on the sins. Sometimes I find they categorize something under pride whereas in your case it definitely falls under sloth.
Me: {crawling under the chair}
Angel: Plus with the Pro version I can upload the data to the SinMinderPro online community and get directed guidance from their techs on how to interpret the data.
Me: {closes eyes and covers face with hands, whimpering}
Angel: So go ahead. Leap to all the conclusions you want.
Me: *weeps*
Angel: Hey, look! Another quarter for the computer fund! Good job!
Jane! Sin-Minder?!!! This is hysterical! I hope you don’t mind if I link to this post!

I love this!
Love this. LOL
Hi Jane. I followed the link from Mary’s “The Beautiful Gate” blog. And I am so glad I did. I have enjoyed your posts so much!
Also, I read Emily Rose’s story. Thank you for sharing your daughter. We lost a son, Thomas as a baby. He had a diagraphmatic hernia and, because of this, he was born with very little lung tissue – he wasn’t able to breathe independantly. Even though our babies had different problems, so much of what you wrote I could identify with.
May God bless you!
