Sometimes I can’t help but have a little fun at my children’s expense.
As I was dressing Kiddo#3, he got a serious look on his face and said, “I handsome now.”
He considers any shirt you button to be a “handsome” shirt, since that’s what we say to keep him in a dress shirt. Today it’s just flannel, but I wasn’t going to tangle with him on the difference, so I replied, “Yes.”
Kiddo#3: “I very handsome.
Me: “And modest too.”
Kiddo#3: “Modest?”
Me: “Just like your mom.”
I’m probably going to pay for things like that in the future, but for right now, we’re just having a good time.
