A new book releases today!

*¨*•♫♪¸¸.•*¨* Celebrate with me‬!! *¨*•♫♪¸¸.•*¨*

Well, first let me back up a bit. Today is a book birthday for a book, but it’s also the would-be 17th birthday of my daughter, Emily Rose. For anyone who hasn’t been around the blog forever, Emily was my second baby, and she died of anencephaly when she was two hours old.

We had a chance to visit her grave last week, and the cemetery is just the way it was. It’s peaceful and beautiful, and although it kind of sucks that I had to leave a baby there, I find a sense of comfort in just going and staying by the graveside.

Plus it’s an excuse to buy pinwheels.

But now for the happy stuff, because it’s also a book birthday. Back in May, Melissa Storm tapped twenty authors to write novellas for a series she’s writing called First Street Church. It’s a series of romances that takes place in tiny-town Texas, and she wanted to know if I’d participate. Heck YES I’d participate! But you know I can’t do anything like a normal person, so I set about coming up with the most off-kilter combination of romantic leads I could. Ready?

Casey’s spent the last eight months wandering the country with a backpack and nine iron-clad Rules of the Road. Peter’s finishing out a few months working for his father’s siding company before enlisting in the army.

When they rescue a litter of puppies together, Casey finds herself just…not leaving Sweet Grove. And Peter finds himself intrigued by the most perplexing gal he’s ever met.

The story is exclusive to Kindle (sorry, but it’s a Kindle World, so…) and you can pick it up for $1.99 over at Amazon.

Thank you so much!!!

    Hi Jane,

I’ve been thinking about you this past week and come onto your site to see big things for you… Emily, I don’t know what to say except it’s an inspiring story and I’m so sorry. But congratulations on your new book! Have a great launch!
Next week is GPCWC… I always think of you when that rolls around but sadly this is the last year for it… Marlene has done enough.
Anyway thinking of you and hope things are well.

It’s kind of a shame that GPCWC isn’t going ton continue. I’m surprised no one is taking it over

      Thank you for stopping by!
